Rootbeer Float Martini

view this recipe
FPO Lolita O'Connor El Floridita (Hollywood, CA)
Vote: Yay Nay
Ingredients:
1/2 ounce Amarula
3/4 ounce Cruzan Vanilla Rum
1/2 ounce Butterscotch Schnapps
splash of half n half cream or milk
2 tablespoons fresh whip cream
1 packet of sugar in the raw
Bottle of your favorite rootbeer
Regular cane sugar (for rim of glass)
Lime wedge (to coat rim w/sugar)

Method:
First, chill martini glass; then lightly swipe lime wedge around rim of glass and dip it in sugar for a nicely sugar-rimed glass. In mixing tin, pour Amarula, vanilla rum and butterscotch schnapps over ice. Add splash of cream or milk, along with whipped cream & sugar in the raw packet. Shake well. Pour slowly into martini glass, filling it about 3/4 of the way (for a 2 ounce martini glass, you will have extra mixture to make a second one). Then open up your rootbeer and top off the martini, filling it the rest of the way. Caution: the martini will foam up just like a real rootbeer float, so add rootbeer slowly -- and not too much! Save the rest of rootbeer bottle for next drink or finish it up yourself:)
